The revolutionary new K-12 System of Education in India

Education has had a tumultuous past in our country.  It started in the early centuries and continued ever since. Presence and lack of education has both been termed taboos in the past. Great scholars such as Rabindranath Tagore wrote long articles about why the Indian Education System needs to change.  Since the last few centuries the Indian education systems has undergone a facelift. IIT, IIMs and English speaking school boards have been set up by us.  Standards have increased to a new height altogether.   Nowadays even a 90+ score find it difficult to gain entry into colleges.

New Concepts of education
New modes of technology have revolutionized the system of delivery of education.  Nowadays new and ingenious methods are used to impart knowledge to the young.   The process of E learning via the internet has recently gained popularity.   Countries such as USA, India and Canada have started to adopt the K-12 method of education.  K-112 education means kindergarten to class 12 level educations.  This is a unconventional method of education and imbibes in its curriculum a strong teacher student communication system.

Kindergarten Education
Primary school education is very important to the development of a child. At such a young age, a child is susceptible to new knowledge and has good retention ability. Introducing a premium quality of primary school education system imbibes the correct values in the child. Private as well as public primary schools exist in the country.   Nowadays to promote the concept of education, the government has started free school education from ages 6 to 14.

Benefits of K-12 System of Education
The concept of K-12 system of education is a beneficial to both teachers as well as students. Query answers sessions, projects and assignments would ensure the best results.  This system enables students to interact with the teacher and develop new learning methods.  The capabilities of the students increase as well.  This concept of education has a system of taking part in projects and group assignments. Intercommunication skills are really given a priority in this system.  The main difference between the normal conventional type of education and the k- 12 type of education is the difference  of added opinions by the children while participation in classroom activities.

The introduction of the added infrastructural facilities in the schools that follow the K-12 system of education is beneficial. The whole curriculum has change d to involve the students more in extracurricular activities. Recent trends have shown that most schools prefer the K-12 type of education to the previous one.

Aims of the K-12 System of Education
The basic objectives of the K-12 concept of education are to create a leader in a student. The essence of education lies in creating a difference.  The curriculum tries to imbibe a sense of individuality in the student.

The aims are to create more student teacher harmony and self reliability.  This is not only a beneficial concept to individual s but to the society as a whole.  Though the system is very much self reliant it is not only up to the teachers and the system to make a difference. The students too in turn grab the facilities that the curriculum has to offer and create a massive difference to society.
